NNMS PTO Board of Directors

NNMS PTO is made up of smart, hard-working and committed parents!

The PTO supports NNMS Staff, works closely with the Principal to work towards a common goal, leads communications, fundraising, family events, student activities and Spirit/Hospitality initiatives.

The PTO Board is:

Kelly Brewer, President

Shall preside over meetings of the organization and executive board, serve as the primary organization contact, represent the organization at outside meetings, serve as an ex officio member of all committees except the nominating committee and coordinate the work of all the officers and committees so that the purpose of the organization is served. Assist in fundraisers and PTO supported programs. Be the point of contact with our NNMSPTO@yahoo.com email address, to answer and relay messages on a daily or weekly basis.

Florencia Mackie, Treasurer

Shall receive all funds of the organization, keep an accurate record of receipts and expenditures, and pay out funds in accordance with the approval of the executive board. Present a financial statement at every meeting, make a full report at the end of the year, and prepare (or arrange for the preparation of) the yearly IRS tax report.

Marketing Team: Jo Ann Parris, Jason T. Gruner, Whitney Carufe, Marlene Alpizar, Rita Galante

Marketing Team shall keep the NNMS PTO Website up to date with the information discussed at our monthly meetings and from event coordinators. The Marketing Team will also be the point of contact for our weekly email blast. This team shall handle the digital marketing and print marketing for all PTO Events and Fundraisers. They will be the creative force behind our Spirit Weeks, Major events, and Teacher Appreciation. They will also handle the communication and coordination between our Wildcat Family and our Local Community.

Events Team: Chrissy Fleischer, Erica Hartley, Whitney Carufe, Janeth Clark 

The Events Team will help in the planning, coordinating, and decorating all events at NNMS. They will create opportunities for volunteers to get involved in the planning of events. They will be the driving force behind our amazing events for our Teachers, Students, Parents, and Staff. This is including but not limited to: Spirit Week Themes & Decorating, Fall Fest & Haunted House, Winter Snow Ball, FUN-A-Thon, 8th Grade Day and Dance.

Megan Kelly, Vice President

Shall assist the president and carry out the president’s duties in his or her absence or inability to serve. Assist in fundraisers and PTO supported programs. The vice president may also assist with the duties of the secretary as needed.

Florencia Mackie, Recording Secretary

Shall keep all records of the organization, take and record minutes, prepare the agenda, handle correspondence, and send notices of meetings to the membership. The secretary also keeps a copy of the minute book, bylaws, rules, membership list, and any other necessary supplies, and brings them to meetings.

Meghan Marenoski, Volunteer Coordinator

Shall prepare links through Sign Up Genius for NNMS emails that are sent out by NNMS Administration to help assist finding volunteers and request donations when needed for events & celebrations on campus. Volunteer coordinator is to work with event chairs and NNMS Administration to list event schedule and time frames where volunteers are needed. Prior to the event the coordinator shall print out the volunteer schedule for those events for the event coordinator and NNMS Administrations use.

Christianne Arthur, School Store Manager

Shall prepare and manage the campus, onsite school store, set store hours, manage inventory purchases and replenishment, etc.

PAST NNMS PTO BOARD PROJECTS:

  • Purchase Electronic White Boards for the classrooms.

  • Help cover the cost of various Principal & Teacher Requests for support.

  • Support Annual School wide events.

  • Quarterly Spirit Weeks for Students

  • Hosts multiple Teacher and Staff Appreciation events all year.

  • Support the 8th Grade Dance & Day

  • Hosts Quarterly Informative PTO General Meetings for parents.

  • Maintains the school store and Spirit Wear.

  • Fall Festival & Haunted House Fundraiser

  • Hosts FUNathon and Field Days for Students

  • Installed acoustical wall panels in the gym
